Lucy Creek Arms

Check out Lucy Creek Arms, on Highway 281 about 5 miles north of Lampasas, Texas. http://www.lucycreekarms.com

The owner is quite knowledgeable about firearms and tactical fighting. He spent 25 years working DEA drug interdiction in Central America, and has provided combat training to SWAT teams, military and police personnel, bodyguards and many others.

If you are considering doing business with Lucy Creek Arms I suggest you do a quick google of "lucy creek arms reviews" and read HOW HORRIBLE this man is. He is a fraud---- has stolen from so so many people especially those in the military community. Please be careful!

have to agree with the above poster....I wrote a report of my dealings with this Tim Miller character, owner of Lucy Creek Arms, on ripoffreport.com. Stay away!!! I am glad my credit card company did a chargeback almost 10 months after the initial transaction. $2500 is nothing to sneeze at.

Definitely good advice to avoid Lucy Creek Arms and its owner. I am out $1300 in stupid tax I will probably never see again thanks to the crook. I wish I had seen these warnings before hand. I sent money order, which has never been an issue with a brick and mortar place. The DA says I am approved for restitution.........I hope they get some money out of him, but I have a feeling I will never see that that money again.

We are located at a private outdoor range a few minutes east of the Denver area. Our Basic/ CCW pistol class is about 4 hrs long including 2.5 to 3 hours shooting with plenty of one on one. No extra range or park fees and the entire class is taught at the range.

I have loader pistols available if you need at not extra cost.

I don't teach the spetsnaz attack but you will be amazed at how fast and accurately you will be able to shoot by the end of the class and since we shoot at least 100 rounds you will begin learning the muscle memory and good habits that are necessary to handling a pistol or revolver safely.

Classes every Saturday am and private lessons available on your schedule.

Central Ohio

I know of two that are reliable.
1. Blackwing.
www.blackwingsc.com/
Blackwing has a pretty good reputation. When I went through training with the Franklin Co. Sheriff Office I talked with the deputy who handles all the CCW permits in Franklin Co and he checks most of the CCW programs out, (physically visits the sites), Blackwing is one of the few that seems to have a pretty good program.
2. Bob Coffman in Cardington, OH, retired Columbus PD officer also has a very good reputation and teaches a 1 day class on his property.

I would be very particular in choosing a CCW training facility or individuals that advertises basic or advanced CCW classes. There are a number of them, at least in Central OH, that are not qualified to teach. Just because they have an NRA certification doesn't mean they know how to teach a class.

Love Frontsight

I've been to Frontsight plenty of times. The training there is very good for beginners and experienced alike. I also want to take some of Travis Haley's classes and some of the ones you guys are sharing. Thanks
