The final shoot out in the Metropolitan at the end of The Shootist. The Duke takes on three in his final movie role while Ron Howard, with hair, takes down the back shooting, shotgun wielding bartender.

Gotta love the quote as well from Wayne to Howard which I paraphrase below.
"It's not about being fast or even being accurate, it's being willing.... Some men hesitate, they take a breath or blink an eye. I don't."

Tom Hanks standing in the shadows with the drum fed Thompson while mowing down Newman's bodyguards in "Road to Perdition" was excellently shot.

Towards the beginning of Fistful of Dollars when Clint shot five of Baxter's gunmen is a good one. Before he shoots them he said "now if you'll apologize to my mule like I know your going to" classic Clint!

The ending push for taking hill 937 in "Hamburger Hill" is very powerful. Hats
(and Berets) off to the brave young men of the 101st in that steamy hell of Vietnam! I think this movie was a more realistic view of battles in Nam than Platoon.

Totally cheesey...but dont forget... "The Quick and the Dead"...with Gene Hackman, Sharon Stone, and Russel Crowe. There was some great gunplay and "high noon" showdowns in it.

How could I forget the shooting scenes in
"Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid"?

I think it was the first Predator movie that Jessie Ventura used a handheld minigun.
Arnold stole the idea for the Terminator.
Wasn't the kids line something like,
"That's you?"
In T3 when Arnold picked up the minigun???

i've never seen "Heat," but i watched that shootout clip. man that was horrible. what did they do, record the sound in a tin cave? i couldn't even make it through the whole thing it was so bad. i mean, i could see if the scene took place in an indoor range with a low steel ceiling. why do these idiots always insist on putting tons of echo on a scene that takes place outdoors?

anyway, i thought it seemed as fake as "saving private ryan" seems realistic (having never even been to normandy myself).
