I recently purchased a new barrel online for my Sig 2340. Whenever I have purchashed a new gun, there has been a fired case included. My question is this; why then is there not one included with a new barrel?

I am new to shooting this caliber. Any suggestions on brand choices? Any I should stay away from? And lastly, is there any noticeable difference between the 100 gr and the 125 gr? I am going to order online in bulk to keep my shipping cost down and none of the local stores have any in stock.
