Can you load 90-105 grn boattails in these cartridges for use in an AR?

How do 55 grn and up to 75 grn bullets perform through a 223 Rem 1:9 twist 20" barrel? I would primarily use 60-70 grn bullets, but would like to know how these others would work.

From what I understand all it takes to form brass is to fire a normal round through the barrel. Does this weaken the casing? Less reloads? Why does flaring the shoulder improve the ballistics so greatly? How do normal cartridges perform from an AI chamber?
