    pretty Police Positive

Here's a nice little unfired Police Positive in 38S&W. It was made in 1926, most likely. (Can you say C&R?)

What to take to a Formal 'Que???

Now everyone knows that you can't take just any ole gun to a Full Dress, Formal Barbeque. You gotta have something with some class. Maybe a 1917 with custom burled grips, or a M-28 that is so blue you think the sky rubbed off on it. Well, same hold for your knife. You can't take some ole ratty...

Finally, a reasonably priced custom hunting knife

I finnaly found a reasonably priced custom hunting knife. These are made by Ron Leuschen of Little Hen Knives. They are all hand forged and the handles are some of the most beautiful burled maple I've ever seen. Best of all, the price is less than what some of the WallyWorld knives are going...

    Hand Forged Bowie

Here is a new bowie from Ron Leuschen, Little Hen Knives. It has an 8" hand forged blade made from O-1 steel and differentially tempered. The handle is one of the prettiest pieces of burled maple with a copper guard and ebony and white micarta spacers. Love this knife.

    a young knifemaker to watch

Charles Gedraitis is a young maker that I think will be one to watch. His knives seem to have an aura about them that reminds me of some of the best knives from folks like Rick Dunkerly, Steve Jernigan, Barry Gallagher or Wade Colter. He's young still and just getting started but if you look at...

    German SAAs

I've been trying to get some information on two German manufacturers. One was easy, J. P. Sauer & Sohns, the other has been tough. J. P. Sauer started making SAA revolvers in 1958 and each one was classical German Overproof. The other manufacturer is Herbert Schmidt. They went out of business...

When will we see something new in handguns?

It's been a little over 60 years since the last new development in hand guns. Since then there have been improvements in manufacturing, materials, machining and possibly (though many might disagree) in style, but not one new feature. In revolvers, once we had the machined cylinder and...

    info needed on a P-38

I happened across a chromed P-38 recently. It shows lots of holster wear but bore and mechanicals are excellent. The serial number is 380h and it has ac above 41 on the slide. Does anyone have any ideas about what I have?

bad experience at the gun shop

I stopped in yesterday to check on some work my gunsmith was doing for me. I got attacked by an old S&W M-28. It grabbed my side and wouldn't let go. I fought and struggled and thought that I broke free. But it followed me home. Is this normal behavior for a somewhat mature revolver?

    IMPORTANT Ga HB304

GA HB 304 has had its two readings, successfully been reported out of committee but is just sitting. Contact your legislators and tell them that you want it passed. Basically, it says that a licensed person can carry anywhere except bars and courthouses. Let's get this through this session.

    report on the CS2K

There is a relatively new pistol out there that deserves a place in the annals of inovative weapons. It is the CS2k and is made in Croatia. It's fairly small, polymer framed and currently available in 9mm. To date, the reports from owners have been extremely positive. The pistol seems to be...
