Hi-Point
Big and clunky, overweght for caliber But rock solid, accurate, reliable, low priced, and backed up by no-questions lifetime warranty with excellent customer service.

The Browning BDM.

It had an impossibly thin grip for a double-stack magazine. The operation was unique, it was light, accurate, and easy to fire.

It just never caught on.

Beretta 92/96
Almost any FEG. I bought a PA63 for $200 OTD brand new. $12 worth of springs and its a great shooter.

I'm a glock guy and would never choose a Hipoint over my glocks..That being said a highpoint loaded an ready in your hand is better than a glock at the shop on layaway..

Pretty much any Bersa,,,

Pretty much any Bersa,,,
They get ragged on like red-headed step-children,,,
But more often than not the raggers have never even fired one.

I believe they are just ragging the country they come from.

I was at the range one day and a guy asked what I was shooting,,,
I told him I was shooting a Beretta Cheetah and a Bersa Thunder 380.

He proceeded to tell me that my Bersa was a POS,,,
That they were cheaply made and were Jam-O-Matics,,,
But my Beretta on the other hand was a high quality handgun.

I asked him if he wanted to give the Beretta a try,,,
But I handed him the Bersa 380.

He raved about how nice that Beretta shot,,,
Then I told him to look at the logo,,,
He turned red and walked away.

I just chuckled.

That's got to be my favorite range story here so far. That's great! It'd be funny if you see him at the range again with a Bersa of his own.

Aarond, that is great. I am going to pick up a Bersa sometime and you should gt a commission when I do.

The PX-4 line has been mentioned already but I have to give it bother bump as a pistol that doesn't get the credit and recognition that it deserves.

Kimber 1911's... I have never had one that didn't feed everything and wasn't extremely accurate. For the price they are a great gun,...and I have had several full blown custom IPSC 1911s built for me so my point of reference is pretty critical. To be fair, I have only owned the top tier Kimbers but still alot of gun with outstanding fit and finish.

Hello TailGator and SHE3PDOG,,,

I have sold a few Bersa's for the company,,,
And I agree I should get a commission from them.

When I take newbies shooting,,,
My Thunder 22 and Thunder 380 always go,,,
They are very reliable and easy to shoot and hit with.

A young lady I took shooting just a few weeks ago,,,
Liked the Thunder 380 so her father got her one for Christmas.

My 380 has never failed me yet,,,
I know for a fact I've sent over 1,000 rounds downrange.

Any AMT/Irwindale Arms Hardballer. Probably most maligned US produced 1911 Stainless gun on the planet to the uninformed.

With any knowledge of 1911 guns (Jerry Kuhnhausen) one can easily create a more than acceptable pistol with a bit of work. These guns should be available at some gun shows at a low price but methinks that dealers have jacked up prices just because of that premise.

I have a Hardballer produced in the early 80's that runs flawlessly with hardball and Federal 230 gr. HydraShoks with a barrel throat job courtesy of Jerry's pics and instructions. It's not very pretty as it is my truck gun.
