Western States TFL Round Up

The Casino rooms are usually pretty nice - and dirt cheap, like the food...
They want you to save money for gambling!
We will just save money for ammo and targets and the like.

Serious note.
Just like TFL is above the board and beyond repraoch as a forum...
I hope it would be expected to be the same as a get together where we can meet each other and do a little shooting... Maybe see who is the best shot and just have some fun.
(If one of you guys turns out to really be Rob Leatham - I will be pissed ;) )
I would hope no one is expecting this to be a College Frat Party or an Arms Bizarr - So leave those NFA items at home in the safe - We all know that an ATF agent would love to make his career by busting TFL Members in some or even just start some scandle. I am good looing - but, I dont look good enough for 20/20 or 60 minutes!

Well said. I'll leave my "Vote From The Rooftops" t-shirt at home. :)

National Firearms Act of 1934. The one that people think made buzzguns illegal, but only made them a serious PITA to get (legally).

"Not For Americans"

Basically any thing cool or different - like a select fire, or Short Barrelled, or stocked pistol, or anything interesting...

I hope I can get the info on this, just in case I can make it... As is, I've committed horrid acts to my schedule, and the !#@%^^$! thing keeps coming up that that's the time I'm going to get ready to go antelope hunting... And time will be in its usual short supply. And its two days or one kamikaze run to Reno from the southern mountains. Either way that adds to five - at my age, kamikazes then to cripple for a day afterward. But maybe, if I can juggle things a little...

Shoot carefully... swifter...

No NFA weapons here, although I have shot SMGs in Nevada. The only rifle I have is a Bushmaster, I don't see any reason not to bring it?

Kodiak, do you have a head count? Is there a way to announce the event to all TFL participants, or do you think that everybody checks the GD forum occasionally?

I'll put my plug in for Reno also. Been reading this board for a while but just recently started posting. been doing that over on AR15 for a several months now. I'd look forward to meeting some fellow gun owners and Reno is only 90 minutes away for me.

I think we're pretty much agreed on Reno, last weekend of August.

I'm planning on bringing my Bushmaster AR-15 clone, T/C Contender pistol w/.45 Colt and 10mm barrels, Walther P99 9mm, S&W 642, Ruger Blackhawk .357, and Ruger Single-Six .22 WMR. Got to leave something in the safe ;)

RE: Family,

I'm bringing my wife and 5 month old daughter, although they don't know it yet.

I scheduled business to coincide with the end of the month.

RE: Ammo,

There is an excellent gun store in Sacramento for those coming up Interstate 80 called Great Guns on Auburn BLVD. that has an excellent selection, its a must see. I'll post directions and a Lat long later.

I heard that there is a store near Sacamena where one may purchase Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms ;)

Ewok,

We got several in C-Springs: Long's Drugs. You can pick up a sixer, some Borkum Riff, a Desert Eagle, and a few boxes of .50AE, and no one so much as blinks.

One-stop shopping at its finest.
