I just made a butt plate out of oak and painted it black, then Clear coated it. The reason I made it was because I am redoing an old Sears .22 and couldn't locate a butt plate to fit...will work just fine.

Took my heirloom model 12 out this morning for early teal season. It had been stolen from me in Dec. 07', and recovered in August. Model 12 16 gauge and a blue wing teal limit.
