Does anyone have any ideas on how to minimize clanking the cleaning rod in the barrel of firearms while cleaning them? It seems that, no matter how hard I try, I bump the interior of the barrel or the muzzle at least once while cleaning.

Anyone here ever try or use GUNgrease, BOREclean, or GUNoil by Protec Lubricants? Do those syringe applicators really help with lubricating slides on semi-autos? I tried their website for info, but there's little more to it than a homepage at the present time.
