What is the limitations of a 12gauge with the best possible ammunition? I have heard of using a 12g for protection against bear of any size but would it work against big game? Is there FMJ sabot that would make one effective against even larger animals?

OK, not thinking whale but is there a handgun that is capable of taking any living animal like the largest bear, Rhino etc? Basicly a hunting gun you could use for anything you would possibly encounter.

I am thinking of buying a 15 inch shot gun (total length) just for the fun of it really. Any information on what they are like to shoot or what the pattern is like would be a great help. Thank you.
