I`ve only fired the 40 a couple times, and I thought the recoil was very "sharp", meaning fairly stout, and having a bit of a quick snap to it. I`m used to a 45, or 9mm. I found it uncomfortable to shoot. Does anyone agree? Is this common, for the caliber, in general? Thanx for your opinions-

Ive noticed lately, that alot of the Garands for sale, have alot of what looks like lithium grease, smeared all over the action. People dont actually shoot these rifles like that, do they? Is this the correct method of lubing the bolt/op-rod?

Is it difficult/possible to tweak the barrel of a Vaquero, to adjust windage? I`m really not for the "bending the front sight method". Can you do it, in the same manner as the Colt SAA?Thanx-

I just bought my second Vaquero, and the windage is off on both revolvers. Would it be wise to send them back to Ruger for tweaking, or is there a better place/person to send it to, for the work? Thanks guys-

Powder Valley has powder called 2200, VERY cheap right now. Who makes it, Accuate Arms? At $47/8lbs, I`m tempted to buy it, and they say it`s versatile, but is it a GREAT powder, for say, 223, or 308? If so, could you cut loose with a couple "recipes"? Thanks Bruthas! ;)

Does anyone know if anyone offers a drop-in, match barrel for a Berretta m92, in 9mm? I`m not exactly impressed with it`s accuracy, even after using many different brands/loads of ammo. Or, is there any other modifications, that m92s notoriously need? Thanx Gun-gurus!

I was just reading an old Reloading Digest, and Dean Grinnell states that IMR PB is THE powder for 9mm loads. Has anyone out there tried it, and was he right? If so, what are some of your pet loads? I`m kinda partial to 124-5 grn bullets, if it matters. Thanks Bruthas-

I once heard, that in close-up fighting, (I believe in the South Pacific), that in a stalemate cover situation, the enemy would wait for the "ping" of the Garand, and immediately rush in, killing him while reloading. Is this true, did alot of US GIs get killed in this way?

About ten years ago, on a misty morning, I watched a guy at my range shoot a .22 Cheetah, and it was the first, any only time I saw vapor trails, extending out to the 100 yd. target. Has anyone else seen these? What velocity is needed to produce such an effect?
