Does open slide design make Berettas lauder?

That’s what someone is telling me, I own a Beretta 92fs and never noticed any noise increase due to open slide. Did anyone? I personally don’t even think it’s possible...

what's your Favourite auto and revolver calibres.

What is your favourite semiauto and revolver calibres? Say why you like they as well. This is not a war thread, so keep that in mind. OK I’ll start first :) For semi auto; 9mm of course; 15-17 rounds is a norm for a full size gun. Good accuracy, plenty of power from a light target ammo to...

.22 conversion kits for Beretta 92/96

does anyone here heve a .22 conversion kits for their Beretta 92/96? if so how do you like it? I was actually wondering if the .22lr has enough kick to chamber a new round, I'm guessing the slide must be quite lite... And btw what's the best place to get one from?

    CZ vs. Witness

They seem to be the same, but Witness has a model in 10mm Does that mean that the Witness is stronger? I don’t really have a lot of experience with Witnesses so I want to hear some opinions. Anyoen here owns Witness in 10mm? is it a good platform for the round? Is there a reason why there's no...

    10mm what are my choices?

I’ve been toying with an idea of adding a new calibre to reload, Initially I was deciding between .40 s&w and .45acp, than I realised that I can use .40 dies (and bullets) that to load both .40 and 10mm, which pretty much settled it :). Till now I was pretty much oblivious to 10mm; I mean I knew...

How many handgun calibres do you reload? (if you do)

I guess this is a question for reloaders. But it’s about handguns calibres, so I posted it in the general handgun section… Just wondering do you guys see reloading as freedom to have many different guns in different calibres and reload as many calibres as possible or try to keep it...

Aftermarket grips for Raging Bull, are there any?

I was just wondering if anyone makes grips for Taurus Raging Bull revolvers, the stock rubber grips are pretty good, but they are a bit big for my hand (it’s more of the design thing; I'd like for my middle finger to sit higher on the grip) I can look at both rubber or wood if availabe

    .40 mags in 9mm Beretta 92FS

Is it possible to use Beretta .40 mags in 9mm Beretta? I heard that you can do that with Storm carbine. If so than you can fit more 9mm rounds...Which brings me to another question can that be (legaly) done in states/placers that have 10 round mag capacity limit?

Do you shoot low with light bullets?

I find myself shooting a little low with 9mm 115gr (with Beretta) at 25 yards. I also started reloading not that that long ago and find that heavier bullets tend to shoot higher (in my .44mag) Is this just me or does everyone else feel the same?

    LEE 9mm reloaders; I need a small favour…

I have a Lee 9mm dies that come with a 0.5 CC powder dipper. My scale is not quite here yet so I need some help; I have some HS-6 powder that I currently use for .44mag and thats what I’m going to use for 9mm. Now I think 0.5 CC of HS-6 should be around 7gr. Which is the MAX load for 115gr...

Accurate 9mm handloads for Berretta 92fs

I’m going to start to reload 9mm soon and wondering what’s a good accurate load to be used in Beretta. I’m leaning towards 115gr bullets since they’re the least expansive, also I’ve got some HS-6 powder so… :D (loads with other powders are welcome as well). I don’t want it to feel like too much...

Recoil of Beretta 96FS Brigadier vs. 92FS

I have a regular 92fs and shot a few other Berettas, but I’ve never shot a Brigadier in .40  :o Is there a difference in recoil between Beretta .40 (96fs) Brigadier and a regular 92fs in 9mm? Since Brigadier has a heaver slide I’m wondering if they feel any different.

    when is 9mm +p (+p+) using HS-6 powder?

I’ve seen a couple of places that indicate that 7gr is the max loads for HS-6 powder with 115ge FMJ. Is this the max load for HS6 for 115gr bulelt? Anyways would it be considered +p. if not what would be?

    Cases stuck in the revolver

When I was shooting my new .44 with (my) reloads (HP XTP with H110) I had a few cases getting stuck in the cylinder (I had to push 'em out from other side). I’m not a revolver expert so need someone to confirm what I think happened. After shooting there was sand like substance which I believe...

LEE Auto-Disk Powder measurer VS. Perfect Powder measurer ?

What should I get for my Challenger press, Lee Auto-Disk power measurer or Perfect powder measurer (also by Lee)? They both cost about the same so no economy there. A couple of question here; 1) which is more accurate/consistent? 2) which is easier AND faster to use?

    What’s the highest capacity .22?

I tried to think if there are any .22 with over 10rounds capacity but nothing comes to mind... I know .22 is not something that (most) people choose for self defence but .22 may not be that bad of choice; I (and everyone else) can shoot .22 a lot faster than 9mm, 40 45 etc. I can probably...
