Has Remington discountinued the model seven models in wood? I'm only finding two options with the gun.

I handled one of these recently and couldn't get over the hard trigger pull. Has anyone ever used their middle finger to pull the trigger as opposed to the index finger? The middle finger obviously has more strenth and curious if anyone shoots the 642 that way.

I'm trying to get a Winchester but if the shop can't due to the company closing, I plan to put the money to another Sig. I have the 228 but wonder if I should get another of this model or look at the 226 and 229. Opinions?
