Okay, I've looked at Savage, Tikka, TC Icons, and everything in between. I think I want an X-bolt (stainless hunter). Good? Bad? So-so?

I'm not sure how many in here know this trick but if you do just ignore this post. Rugers and Sakos (and some others) have the built in bases that you just attach the rings to. That's obviously the most solid system out there. But if you have a Remington, Savage or similar that require bases...
