    Has anyone ever shot a S&W M-22 in 45ACP?

Yes, I'm talking about the fancy case hardened frame, new one. If you've shot one, did it hit close to point of aim? I'm getting tired of looking for a M25 since none exist and I ...do.... want it to be a shooter. I do NOT want the Miculek barrel lug. It's ugly and I just won't tolerate it...

Why won't Smith & Wesson's site come up?

They're still in business, aren't they?

I hesitate to even ASK... .25 ACP

Does ANYONE carry a .25 for CCW? NOT as a backup but as the only gun on you? (If you're embarrassed to admit, say you know a "friend" who does.) :D No, really, it must be better than a knife and I'm only speaking of casual carry to places you are ALMOST certain there will be no need. I expect...

    .32 or .380...."Reliability" only

In GENERAL, which will have most feed problems? I'd ..suspect... .380 due to case proportions. Any experiences considered. I want a smaller caliber for CCW and accuracy also has to be sufficient for 3-4" groups at 15 yds which is our qual distance here in Sacramento. Thanks in advance...

Why do early 1911s have lanyard on mag?

Just picked up a Commercial made in 1916 and it has lanyard loops on the mag AND the frame. Did they tether the pistols by the mags? Seems nuts, but who knows? I know it doesn't help when seating the mag.

How do you ship C&R handguns?

Will UPS or post office ship handguns that are curio and relic?

Think a shotgun would be OK to take to Canada?

I'm planning a trip and thinking of taking my coach gun as it would not be a handgun and would still handle anything that walks in NA. Will Canada allow a shotgun?

    Ports in S&W topstrap ????

WHAT is the deal with ports in the topstrap of my new S&W 63 with 5" bbl? I just got the gun and was sighting it in and it shot well but not great group. Then just now I was looking at it and the whole rear sight assembly is loose. Took off the sight assy and here's 3 ports drilled in the...

    Woooooo! Did I get LUCKY!

I've searched all over for my old shoulder holster. Today I tore the garage apart looking ONE LAST TIME! Then gave up. GONE! But.... on a whim I went to a nearby gun shop that has used stuff and FOUND ONE! Just like my old one. Upside down carry for M36 2" Smith with the wide leather...

    Glock glue ??

Will ANYTHING glue something to a Glock frame? I had a section of hose washer glued behind the trigger on my M34 and it was PERFECT as a trigger stop. No overtravel at all. But the glue keeps coming undone. I would even use something besides hose washer and mod it to the right size if I knew...

HOW long til a Glock will take 10 in the mag?

T'ain't bad nuff that I can only get 10 rounders, but I am also only able to get 7......maybe... 8 on a "non sore thumb" day in em. I am keeping em LOADED to stress the spring, but in my experience with other guns I have NEVER felt such resistance in a mag spring. WILL they ever take 10 loaded...

    Ruger Mk4B is jamming.

Fairly new gun. Frame is the original MkII style. With the 4" bbl. The empty case gets trapped above the round being chambered. I...suspect... a magazine which I will test by using BOTH mags and paying some attention. Next would be the extractor. Except the case is pulled free very nicely...

    Glock is "poinking."

For want of a better term. This is a new M34. I really like the weight and extra barrel length. I am noticing though a tendency for the sight to "poink" off to the right when the striker falls. Don't know if it is before or after the strike, but some other Glocks don't seem to do it. I just...

If you're thinking about buying a foreign made firearm

Don't tarry. The US dollar is in free fall. It's toast. All European guns will increase in "dollar" price. It's inevitable now. :barf:

Have gas prices cut your shooting?

Be really great to hear from some gun/ammo store owners. Just curious. It has cut my shooting. I know I used to just for a lark get in the car ..whenever... and just go out in the sticks and pop some caps for a few minutes or an hour and now I think about the trip. I may still do it, but...

Man, I miss the old Bausch & Lomb mount system.

I still have a Balvar 8 and a Win M88 mount machined and drilled to fit my Ruger 10/22. Those ...infinite... adjustments just couldn't be beat for precision sighting. And the ability to switch the scope from rifle to rifle and still maintain zero was REALLY nice. By the way.... my Nikon...

Where are my Lyman sight inserts?

I figger since ...I... can't find em, I'd ask the forum. Seems such a simple question would have lots of responses. They are inserts for 17A Lyman. I have found TWO sets of REDFIELD inserts that I dint even know I had. So the whereabouts of the 17A inserts should be a snap for any...

    Colt Woodsman serial numbers question.

Does a Match Target with a "MT" prefix mean that it is the "Bullseye" old version only, or did the MT hang around to the underlug model also?
