I just bought a sporterized G33/40 mountain carbine but the stock is the original military stock that's been cut down, probably some time in the 60's. The receiver has been drilled and tapped so going back original is out of the question. Who makes a sporter stock that will work? I was wondering...

Picked this up off ebay for 23.00. Double flap. I'm going to have to enlarge the holes for my .54 but I think I have room. If not I can find another block of wood.

I was going to spend some time with it. Had a nice shady spot to load in. Was going to compare Swiss 2F and 3F to Pyodex and round balls and conicals. But after six shots and seven out of the Sharp's, well just stick a fork in me cause I'm done.

First three rounds with 80 grains of powder. Bullet was a Sharp's ringtail 557-490. Hitting low from 25 yards offhand. Yeah, that's three holes. Raised the sights and went to 90 grains and the group widened up and further left. Went to 100 which is a full chamber and they tightened back...

I ordered a Sharp's ringtail mold from Moose Molds and it is a very nice, solid built, high quality mold with heavy duty handles. The sprue hole is generous so filling it should be trouble free. I've had to drill the hole bigger in some of my Lee molds to get big bullets to completely cast. I...

I got my new SS "Remlin" model 60 yesterday. Aside from the stubbier look with the short barrel it has an orange plastic front sight and the rear has a black plastic blade. Does anybody know for sure whether or not a cylinder for an old model will fit a new model?

I got this in a trade with one of my forum members. It's a little smaller than my new bag but has easier access. It's made by Leatherman from very supple buffalo hide.

P53 Enfields. One born in 1861 and the other in 1977.
