My 9 year old britany spaniel, Junior, who loves to ride in my 94 F150.

My gun....my Romanian AK74...untill I get my Marlin back. ;)

This is hypothetical, because I dont shoot around my dog, not wanting to deafen him in his old age. :)

Well, the dog is easy. The "family" yellow lab, answers to Bullet, but I call him Big B or Bull-dog and he comes to both.

Don't have either the truck or the rifle, but I'd likely borrow little bro's '94 Toyota and grab a Marlin 1894 in .44 Magnum shortened to 16" and a 4" S&W 629.

Or, in lieu of above, a 6" 629, a pair of Asolos and the lab.

When you want to head up into the mountains for an afternoon of search your soul... what do you take with you?

1978 Jeep CJ-7 w/304 8-cyl
Gun depends.
If we're going to whack some birds, my old Sportsman-58 12-gauge, otherwise, my Marlin 1895 .45-70. Either way, there'll be a Super Blackhawk .44 on my hip.

Dog: my beagle "Chewy Tabacca"

She likes fishin' too. Now if I could find a woman like that!

Good topic. I've attempted to make a career of this over the past 25 years or so.
Currently, an old Winchester 94 carbine and a Smith Model 24 for off the mountain where the bears live (do this daily), or Browning 1886 carbine w/ heavy 400 gr loads and Ruger 45 Colt w/ 325 gr loads for up on the Beartooths (where the bears do live). I'm 5 miles from the base of the mountain.

93 Suburban

2 Malamutes

Things could be worse.
