Too many options here, CZ series or EAA Witness, Hi-Power, 1911 if available with 9mm or Sig not to mention the 92fs but too fat of a grip...

Bobn, If you can get to a range that rent pistols TRY any of the guns recomended. CZs will be about the cheapest AND one of the most accurate. I own both a CZ 75D Compact PCR and a P226 Sig. My CZ for ME shoots rings around my P226. If by the cities, (I'm in White Bear Lake) try Bill's guns in Robinsdale or Circle Pines, they both rent pistols. Good luck they are all good guns, some you'll shoot better than others, you make the choice.

Try to find a used S&W Model 39-2. Classy AND accurate!

(There's one at Cabelas in Rogers but unlike these two, it's not in pristine shape.)
