Oh, I'll call you on it. Come on BigJim, you are sandbagging. Just go ahead and say it.

Benelli SS (or any Benelli with the same action, for a spring gun.)

And, the Urika for a gasser.

Ok, you're right .... there is an old Browning Auto 5 sitting in the back of my safe somewhere ../and one of the boys has my old Rem 1100 and 11-87 in their safe. But the only semi-auto's I have bought in the last 7 or 8 yrs is the Benelli Super Sport ...30" barrel ...in 12ga and 20ga ...

I think the Super Sport is very versatile ...a good all around gun ...and a lot of gun for the money / but the Euro to the dollar has hurt the price a little with them retailing in my area now for around $ 1,875.

However - for semi-autos with a little flair ...., I am still intrigued by the new Beretta UGB semi-auto as well ...

http://www.berettausa.com/products/ugb25-xcel-trap-12-ga-30/

The UGB is a gun that I would shoot for Sporting Clays and Skeet probably / maybe a little Trap ...but its a different beast, a break open - 2 shell - semi-auto .... But I may have to discuss buying one ---just because ...but at around $ 3,750 ....its probably not what the OP was really asking us to vote on either ...

good to see you around waterengineer ...

There you go again! You trap shooter always looking for another expensive shooting stick. $12,000 for a Cosmi scattergun, I have a 12 gun safe stuffed with scatterguns and if I sold them all I STILL would have to shell out dollars for one! (I am not really complaining, just envious:).

Now for the average guy, for about 900 dollars, a 1980's 121 is about a perfect machine.

Sorry folks, but the Cosmi wins in most of Smitty's categories:
unless you live in the vicinity of Urbino, Italy.

Just poking a little fun, Bob

Stay well buddy / have a good weekend .... Trick or Treat ...( and I'd like my treat cold, in a bottle please, preferably imported .....)

See what you did now Bob .... / and he's a "swamp guy" ... he's a mean and scarey dude ... ( not gentle and refined like myself ) ...

Besides who are you kidding Bob ....I could probably collect more money out of the seat cushions of your favorite chair ( or your missed shot jar ...:D)----than I'd make in a year !! You should buy 2 of the UGB's ...and loan me one for testing for 6 or 8 yrs .... ( I'll clean it before I give it back, I promise !! )...

Jim,

( or your missed shot jar ...)

I have been doing better on the missed shot jar, to the effect that Brenda has been complaining now that I am cheating:eek:, it could not be that I threw down some big bucks for a 1950's K22 to do my practices with:). I hope you will come my way again or GOD FORBID I come your way, I enjoyed our time at the range. Do they have Golden Corrals in your part of the world, it is my favorite restaurant.

OneOunce, no offense meant, as a range manager Trap Shooters were my cross to carry, so, it take aim at them when ever possible. Sounds like you have the same feelings as I.

Happy Halloween all, Scattergun Bob out

Oh GEEZ Bob - no offense taken..(hopefully the smilies gave it away)

I find American trap boring and somewhat anti-social.......if I can't talk and jibe my fellow shooter, than make the targets challenging like International Skeet or Bunker; otherwise sporting it is (and pigeons when/if I can afford them)
