Virginia updates

This could be nothing but political cover for the election cycle. The senate didn't outright reject the bill, they basically just tabled it for a year -- which conveniently takes it beyond the election. It's still there, and it's still alive.

It has nothing to do with the election. In Virginia, we have off year elections for state offices and we just had an election. We will have another session of our General Assembly before there is another election for the state offices.

I think our chances of the bill not succeeding will increase as Democrats learn that their personal concealed carry weapons like Glocks and other higher capacity guns would be against the law. We need to educate the public in the upcoming year so the people can let the lawmakers know how they feel as well as the lawmakers themselves.

Is it the Glock or the magazine? Most all Glocks have 10 round 'options'. Pretty sure you mean the magazines..and essentially unenforceable(like it is in the 'republic'-10R magazines max) and also grand fathered. NOT in VA, btw..

G17 10r magazine.

The proposed law as originally written outlawed assault weapons as per their description. One thing was that if a firearm had the capacity to accept a magazine that held over 12 (originally 10), it was as assault weapon regardless of the size of the magazine in it.

So it was re-written?
