Ugh, 45 frustration.

Sounds like a 1911 would fill the bill. Hi cap mags are a gimmick, better to learn to hit what you shoot at.

I own an fnp-45. Awesome firearm i might add. Can get 14 and 15 round mags, comes with 3 when you buy it new. Extremely accurate and good trigger. Like everyone else says a 1911 would be nice too.

May have to look at the XD again. The 45 version has a deeper frame that fills my hand size better than the 9mm I had.

I have the HK45, have several thousand rounds through it, gun just keeps getting better and better. Everyone complains about the DA being horrible. Well if you want you can shoot like a 1911 platform from the SA mode. For me it just keeps getting better. My favorite handgun hands down!!

I have a 1911, S & W 4506 and Glock 21SF. By far the Glock is my favorite. It was my last duty pistol before I retired and I almost could not miss with it, that's why I bought one of my own. It was the first handgun I had tried that truely felt like an extension of my arm.

Possibly a .45 is not your optimum weapon.
