This poem is generally associated with Memorial Day, not Veterans' Day.
I always associated 'In Flanders Fields' with Armistice Day November 11th which has been renamed Veterans Day.
And I do wish the VFW would sell Poppies again.

A little late, but a big thanks to all who have served before me! I'm a new recruit, just got sworn in and I leave for Ft. Benning on February 7th.

When I was growing up, the American Legion sold poppies just before Memorial Day, not before Veterans Day.
