No, Danish oil turns out very brown, like BLO. Kind of muddy IMO.

Varies by brand some. Also Watco and Deft offer them not only in Natural but with stains built in. I've used a mixture of Watco's walnut, dark walnut, and mahogany to make birch military stocks look like walnut.

I used gloss spar urethane in an air brush to create a "bar top finish".

Probably 15+ coats, 0000 steel wool between applications.

Long wait, but I received my stock yesterday. No stain for this gem, just a nice oil finish.

Make sure you oil inside the inletting as well as the outside to help minimize warping due to moisture.
