The design of the ejector on the conversions was problematic.

That is one of the things that was upgraded as the arm went through the transition to later versions.

The early ejectors just do not catch enough of the rim of the shell and then just slips off the shell with the shell still in place in the chamber. Especially true (IMO) if the chamber is less than perfect.

Guys, my NY .50-70 is, of course, a Remington Rolling Block. Not a Trapdoor.

I bought brass and a lee mold from Track of the Wolf. 60 grs of Pyrodex by volume, felt wad, lubed 515 dia. 450 grain pure lead bullet. I made a rig to seat the bullet on my lee press.

I hope to shoot them this weekend.
