Time to ask all mfgrs a few questions.

1. Can I sue you if it fails?
2. Will it work in subzero weather or high
intense heat/humidity?
3. Will I be able to get parts 50-100 years
from now. Most of my guns will last that
long. If you go out of business will I
still be able to get parts. If it fails
me in later years will you be around to
sue?

One person gets hurt if it fails I think we know what will happen. It will make thier present legal problems look pretty tame by comparison. Of course who has thought of the above yet. Don't we want guns thta someday in the near future will be useless and unrepairable? We bitch about taking a mag safety off of a gun. Imagine taking this system off of a $500 or$600 gun so you can use it. Wanna discuss that one kids?
Amazing what corporate minds will do to survive. Reminds me of what men say to women to score and it has about as much substance.

One point that Colt has made repeatedly since the smart gun debate began is that they would have to have some kind of protection from litigation in order to bring their product to full development.
That's going to make an interesting argument.
The gun companies are being sued because they supposedly market a defective product that can cause injury to the user.
But in order to develop a safer product, the gun companies are going to have to be protected from lawsuits if their product causes injury to the user.
Huh!
