WC145: WOW that's weird lookin. What happened? Had a campfire accident?

I have always thought the stainless steel looked the best but I have to say the nickel are some fine looking pieces. I just love the gun p*rn, keep it up guys and someday I too will have a shiny picture to add to this collection. Oh yeah and a Happy New Year to all. Please be safe out there.

Got this a month or so ago off gunbroker. Since that time, the medallions unknowingly fell out of the grips into the grass and are gone. I replaced the grips with some Esmeralda's, but no photos yet of them on the gun.

Brushed nickel on the HP. They never made stainless Hi Powers. They also had variations with hard chrome finish.

I only have one truly shiny gun,,,
I don't consider stainless steel as truly shiny.
Mattie (on the left) is a nickel plated round butt model 34,,,
When my best friend Jackie passed away,,,
Her brother gifted me this gun.
Jackie told the story of how on her 11th or 12th birthday,,,
Her father took her to a gun store and told her,,,
She could have any .22 pistol in the store,,,
This is the one she picked.
When I asked her why she chose this one,,,
She replied with a straight face,,,
"It was shiny."
