Here's mine: Timney trigger, Wolf speed firing pin spring, Oversized bolt handle, standard synthetic factory stock ,pillarbedded, and floated and painted by Me!. Scope is a Vortex Diamondback 4-12x40, setting in Leupold rings andf bases.
When I'm good it will shoot less than 1/2 moa on the sled...

By the way it's .270 winchester and shoots three bullets well...;)

If you've seen one Savage, you've seen them all. Here's one of mine.

sav110+02.jpg

This is a basic Savage 110 in .30-06. It started life as a synthetic stocked model. I broke the stock by dropping it from a tree stand and re-stocked it in a plain walnut stock. I bedded it and began load development again for it. With a good 150 grain bullet and a charge of Reloder 19, it hovers around an inch if I do my part. This rifle gets very little bench time, mostly from sitting, kneeling, or hasty rest positions. It's my go-to rifle for the deer woods, and never fails to satisfy.

Here's another. A forlorn Savage that I picked up at the House of Hock. It looked all bedraggled in it's Tacticool glory. I got it for a song, and no, the stock didn't fit the action. When I bought it, it had only one action bolt.

So, I took it home, disassembled everything, and placed a call to Savage. They sent me a new magazine box, a stock, and some action bolts. I went to work with some paint stripper and some 00 steel wool, and in a day or so, the box from Savage arrived. It's now a basic, plain-jane .308 with a blind magazine synthetic stock.

That's better, don't you think? It likes 150 grain SST bullets pushed to over 2900 fps with Power Pro 2000 MR powder and manages to keep them well inside an inch of the aiming point. It wears a 2.5X10 Weaver scope. I haven't made meat with it yet, but this year will be coming soon.

I've got a few Barrel Nut rifles!

7mm-08-
This one started out as a bone stock 12FLV 308. It never impressed me with how it shot as a 308. It's now a 7mm-08.
I changed the stock with a factory laminate target stock, installed an ER Shaw 26" 1-9.5 twist varmint contour barrel,Weaver rail,Burris Signature Zee rings, and a Swarovski PH 4-16x50 scope.
I haven't shot it much, still working up loads, but so far it shoots in the .6-.8 range with Sierra Gamekings,so it's good for hunting.

6.5 Creedmoor-
I built this one from scratch with a trued Savage Varmint action,and a trued barrel nut,an ER Shaw 26" 1-8 twist varmint contour barrel,Choate Tactical stock,Weaver 20moa rail,Burris Signature Zee rings,and a Sightron SIII 6-24x50 MOA-2 scope.

This rifle loves to shoot 140gr Berger VLD's,now if the shooter can do his job!

A few more-
12FLVSS 223 1-9 twist
This is a pre-Accutrigger rifle,I modified a Boyds LH thumbhole stock for the heavy barrel, installed a SSS competition trigger,a Ken Farrell base,Burris Signature Zee rings, and a new Weaver Classic Extreme 6-24x50 scope.

It shoots pretty good also-

10FCP 308 1-10 twist
110FLP 25/06 1-10 twist
The 308 was a Cabelas exclusive, and came with the Choate Tactical stock,it was added to the 25/06. Both have Ken Farrell bases and Burris Signature Zee rings, along with Sightron SIII 6-24x50 scopes.

The only Savage I currently own, is a Model 99 in 300 Savage, it will put three out of five into 3/4" @ 100.
I used to have a laminate stocked 110 in 270Win that would put five under a quarter, that was a Sweet one !
and a pre-accutrigger

I was looking in the gun room, and I forgot about the Savage M170 pump gun in 30-30 Win, I got it for the boy while I re-barrel his 1893 Mauser.
It's not a tack driver, but it will print just under 2" with 5 shots (that's still minute of deer!) at 100 yards. blfuller; that model 10 is NICE !!
