Roundball in .45 Colt

What did you cut the wads from? The hulls or the wads?

I used a 28 ga plastic wad that just fits over a 45 Colt mouth [when not belled]. I don't know it they are still available, I got 1000 for $1 from a box under a table at a gun show.
I cross sectioned one for you in the pic.
