Rebirth of the 32s?

Howdy

Did somebody say 32s?

Here is the revolver that started it all, at least with the 32 S&W Long, the S&W 32 Handejector Model of 1896. This one shipped in 1899. Pictured here with 32 S&W Long ammo on the left and 32 Colt New Police ammo on the right.

Two of my .32s...

A Beretta that I bought a year or two ago when a group of them came in. I'd wanted one for years but wasn't willing to pay what they were going for... until these became available.

The Smith? A Model of 1902, an early one given the serial number. Bought it from my friend. It's it gorgeous condition for its age.

I know with how things have gone the past 18 months, but I would be surprised if after things settle down we don't see Taurus and S&W get into the game. While I think .327 in a snub is impractical, the ability to shoot the .327 (which is oddly easier and cheaper to get than name brand .32 H&R Mag ammo is) over the harder to find .32 Mag ammo is a huge plus and I've said this before and will repeat myself, but there's no reason an ammo manufacturer can't load a .327 to 30k PSI and call it a low recoil load. Same recoil as .32 Mag, but more effective and maybe easier to get our hands on.

+1 My .32 H&R Magnum revolvers are my reloadable .22s. That was the whole reason I got into this cartridge when .22LR were scarce a few years back.

I have said that same line a few times, I really like what a smooth shooter they are. I reload 32Long and when I have someone moving up from a 22LR I send in the 32cal guns.
They really are a pleasure to shoot. I would love to find a Ruger 327 LCRX.
