Rare Guns - Pics and Info!

Most Gyrojets were purchased as oddities for collections, and most have never been fired, as ammo was quite expensive and not widely available - a single round cost around three dollars, about the same as an entire box of fifty .38 spl LRN ammo. Today, it's rare to find it for under $100/round.
At $100/round, you'd think someone would get in on this! Even if they could only sell rounds for $10 a piece. That's a heck of a profit margin. The guns themselves should be nothing to make, and the patents have probably run out. Look, there's a cottage industry making "grenade" launchers and practice grenades/flares for them. How practical is a 3lb flare launcher hanging from your AR15?

If it was better, cheaper, more accurate, or more reliable, then there may have been a market for it. Since it solves none of those, I would not invest in a company that tried to bring those back. Some of you guys have some rare and beautiful stuff. I couldn't come up with anything rare in my meager accumulation, but do have one that I don't think is commonly encountered. It is a Performance Center DPA 5906 with 5" barrel. It was an LEO offering that I ordered directly from S&W. I asked why it was LEO only. I was told they couldn't build many and this was a way to limit sales. I've seen estimates that not more than a hundred or so of the 5" version were produced.

I have an extensive collection of pistols and one safe contains a Cabinet. With drawers for the entire interior. The drawers are just deep enough to place a SAA inside and still close. One drawer has a number of Llama and Star pistols that went to Nazi Germany during the war. One of these is a very nice condition Star model S .380 ( made 1942) and has been documented as being shipped with 499 others to the Nazi's and has a "shooting policeman" stamp of Albrecht Kind Company when received in Germany. The whole shipment in Dr. antarias' book is listed as "whereabouts of these pistols is unknown " . I also have Star model A pistol in 9mm Largo and Spanish Air Force logo on slide and frame...this pistol has issue number 000004 on it.
Several more pistols with Nazi acceptance and a pristine pe war Walther PPK are included in that drawer.

Stephen, I guess I am hallucinating then....actually i do not have a computer other than an ipad and am very challenged to get it to even talk with me much less have a photo transfered to where it is posted on a forum. I am to old to have an interest in learning a new computer language particularly one that leaves my brain totally garbled.
Believe it.....IbMikey may not be as adept with a computer as a lot of folks, but has the collection and knowledge of Star and Llama's to be admired. Unfortunately for us old guys the modern computer age may have left us far behind. I should be able to go up and see him in March, and will try to take some pic's for him to convince a doubter.
