Put up pics of your hunting rifles, especially turnbolts...

I did a search and couldn't find this topic, so hope it's not a repeat.

Let's see your hunting rifles - rimfire, centerfire, any action type, but in particularly I want to see the turnbolts out there.

Thanks.

Here's a semi-custom on a Rem 700 in 7mm RSAUM with Lawson cochise stock. Sightron S2 4.5-14x40mm AO. Desert rifle.

How 'bout "The Flamer"? ....;)

Rollmarked as a Mossberg 800BSM in .243 Win, but research indicated that it was actually the factory prototype for their "Scoped Police" model that never made it into production before the bankruptcy.

Not as odd as that pink tiger striped job above,(never lose that one, amigo), but here is my 'yote gun...or will be when I get out to hunt coyotes.

Started off life as a CZ 527M in 7.62x39mm, then met a custom gunsmith in Mesa who built the stock, (complete with spare mag holder), from scratch for me, bedded and pillared. Fun little carbine - I call it the 527 CSR, for Camp/Scout Rifle. :)

Winchester 70 EW, 308. McMillan Edge stock. 7 1/4 lbs as it sets

Interarms MK-X 338-06 custom. Unknown stock, but I'm guessing Brown Precision. Bought this one used. 7 3/4 lbs

Winchester 70, SS Classic Feathweight 30-06, McMillan Edge. 7 1/4 lbs

Kimber 84M, 308, 5 lbs 14 oz

Winchester 70 FWT XTR from the early 1980's. 8 lbs.

jmr40, I'm so very jealous and impressed - love those. What's the chambering of that last one? And can you just edit to add the optics's descriptions? Thanks. jmr, if you ever get in the selling mood, please holler. That Winchester / McMillan .30-'06 is just the shiz-nizzle - I'm not worthy!!

Armored man, if you ever sell that CZ, PLEASE let me know - I love that stock - is it possible to put me in touch with whomever made it?

9x19, kiss principle - love it.

Here is an assortment from a few months ago. Holler for more details, but bottom to top, T/C Icon Classic 24" bbl .30'-06 (Nikon Monarch UCC 2-8x32), Custom engraved Mauser 98 23.5" bbl in .280 AI (Elite 6500 2.5-16x50 SF), semi-customized Wby Mk V Ultra Lightweight in .280 rem with 22.25" bbl (Elite 4200 2.5-10x40), Win 70 FW SS .243 win 22" bbl (also Elite 4200 2.5-10x40), Win 70 FW Coyote threaded 24" .243 win (SWFA SS 20x42), Wby Vanguard Sub-MOA Varminter .223 rem 22" bbl (Centerpoint 4-14x40 - crap scope), CZ 453 Varmint .17 HMR 20.5" bbl (Sightron S2 4.5-14x42), & Savage Cub .22lr 16" bbl (Hawke MAP 3x32 crossbow scope). Top/Last 3 are now gone (but largely replaced).

I don't seem to have a better photo of this rifle....

Ruger 77 Mk II "Sporter", .270 Win, Timney trigger, Leupold VX-3 3.5-10x40mm, Harris Model H bipod, and an old leather sling that my father loaned me about 15 years ago....
It sure doesn't look like it, but that rifle weighs almost 13 lbs, as it sits in the photo. ...and removing the bipod doesn't save much weight. It's a heavy beast.

Unlicensed Dremel, he's a gunsmith in Mesa Arizona. :) Sorry, not planning on selling THAT rifle, not for the foreseeable future. :)
Nice stuff, sirs!

Hey riche, on the recall, Rem says not to try to fix it yourself, but wouldn't it be pretty easy to do so with a little acetone to remove bonding agent? Just wondering.

Unliscenced Dremel, Perhaps, but then it would of voided any warranty left on the rifles. I also could of done what many others have done and bought Timney triggers, which would of run about $125.00 ea. Nope, I'm confident Remington will make repairs and everything will be fine. However, I'm sure its going to be awhile before those guns are returned, a long while.

Very nice, gents.

Picher, love that Rem 581 & the Rem 700 with Stocky's stock.

taylorce and jmr40, you guys definitely have similar tastes (twins separated at birth?), and it happens to be great taste, IMO. In fact, jmr's .30-'06 and taylor's .270 are very similar Win 70s (except taylor's fluted bbl). Suddenly I want that exact rifle except in .280 or an SA in .260. Again, let me know if y'all get in the selling mood.

jmr, your listed weights are unloaded but with scope, right? taylorce, do you know the weights unloaded?

How does Kimber get their rifles so light?

Frankenmauser, looks like good eats - how far was the shot?
