I wasn't lying, or hiding when i bought the rifle. I did tell her about me "accidentally" buying it. Thought for sure someone else would bid on it! Especially at $65! :eek:
She had assumed that at $65 that it was ready to hunt with.
I found out differently, and did actually mention it.

Last year my daughter borrowed my Ruger 77 MKII in 257 Roberts last deer season.
Finally got it back on Fathers Day. And i didn't particularly care to loan that rifle out to begin with.
Figured i could build the 7X57 Mauser, and she could borrow that.
When the Mrs realized that more money was going into the gun, is when i told her i would build it for my daughter.

Things just snowballed after that! :rolleyes:

And yes, thankfully my daughter doesn't like pink!! :D

Been there, done that! I own a couple of rifles I never really wanted, I just put in a bid to get it going and ended up owning a couple of rifles because of it.

My wife's issue is twofold.
1) She doesn't feel that i need any more firearms.
2) She doesn't want me spending the money on them.
I don't even consider buying until the bills are paid, food in the house. My 401K & some into savings are taken out of my check automatically.
When i get any extra monies they usually are given to her.
What's hers is hers, what's mine is hers... :rolleyes:
