If you want to laugh your ass off fill up a gallon milk jug with water and hit it with full power 00 buckshot at about 15 feet.
Instant vapor cloud, can't find water jug.
The first time we did this I laughed so hard. As you watch the jug (someone else shooting) it's there, then it's not. They just vanish. I think the plastic vaporizes too.
Plus you get the added benefit of cooling off on a hot summer day. Needless to say, don't do it with milk.

My current preferance is Post-It notes. They come in various sizes and colors. I randomly spread them around on the traget the range supplies and then have my buddy call a color. We then try to see how long it takes us to engage all the correct tragets. Used to use Chiketa bugs for my 22, but they only come around every 7 years or so and the wait was just too much

I think it is much much cooler to shoot at little paper targets with rings on them and see how many bullets you can send throu the same hole
