No Bullets!

One must learn to keep a few thousand bullets of what he shoots most often stocked up in advance as well as enough primers of the type needed and suitable powders that will work in a variety of calibers.

W231/HP38, Unique or Universal are pretty versatile powders for standard handgun loads.

H4895 is a good do all powder in most rifle rounds.

Keep in mind that small pistol primers have limited use, but small rifle primers are versatile. They can often be used in small pistol and small pistol magnum applications as long as the firing pin strike is sufficient to set them off in your gun. A lot of the 38 super guys running high pressure 38 super use rifle primers. Work up to max when substituting components like this. I had bought more small rifle primers than I really need knowing this. I am going to try some Remington small rifle primers in my 9mm handgun loads soon.
