It really is amazing what you can do these days. I google mapped my childhood home in Ohio. With Street View, it was just like standing in front of my old house. I "walked" down the street to my buddy's house, then a few blocks over to the playground where we used to go and play (before they started putting fences around schools. I predict that someday they'll have Google Teleport which will let you zap yourself to any location. That'd be cool.
