I can understand your comment. I've carried more short-barreled 6-shot revolvers than I can remember. Revolvers are still fine handguns, and are not obsolete for ordinary defensive purpose (if only in my humble opinion), especially in the hands of someone who is a long-time revolver shooter/user.
The thing is that none of them will fit into the same dress slacks front pocket, or motorcycle jacket pocket, as do my J-frames.
Now, when it comes to shooting them, especially at longer distances, I'll grant that a nicely tuned and balanced 2 1/2" M19/66 is a fine thing.
