Savage 10 FP or FPC. I have an FP and my buddy bought his FPC because my shot so well.

Between the two of us we have shot both rifles and measured all groups after breaking in the barrels.
My FP has shot 40 groups with factory ammo from 150 to 175 grains at an average of 0.992 and 244 groups of hand loaded ammo at an average of 0.786.
My buddy doesn't hand load but his FPC has shot 88 groups of factory ammo to an avearge of 0.902 inches.

My FPs best two ammos have averaged 0.587 and his FPC best two ammos averaged 0.596. My smallest group was 0.140 and his was 0.213.

These are great rifles right out of the box. Accutriggers on both were factory set at 2lbs 6 ounces.

I paid $700 and he got his on sale with a scope for $640. Tough to beat that kind of price performance.

Bumnote,

While a better scope many not improve the way the guns shoots at 100 yds, it will sure reduce the strain on your eyes from that Barska.:D
