I had to make this decision back in mid-2013 and I went with the classic 92FS. I'd say my reaction is mixed. While I love my 92FS - it's everything I thought it could be: reliable, beautifully machined, easy to shoot - there are a few upgrades in the 92A1 that I find myself wishing I had. The lack of a light rail means that my PX4 remains my standard bedside piece even though I handle the 92FS a bit better, and the lack of a dovetailed front sight limits night sight options.
