OK, I'm not an addict, but I am a recreational user:D

Springfield M1A Scout
Vltor Modstock
Trijicon Accupoint 3-9x on a Springfield 3rd gen. mount
Harris Bipod mounted to a Fulton forend rail.

Since this pic was taken, I've added a BlueForce 2pt sling

man now i feel like the old guy looking at all these coffee making accessories and Im only 28. I do enjoy my trijicon reflex on my ar, but for an m14 i think the classic look is best.

Waiting to get me a M1A/M14 until 2 other wants are met first. Just curious as to how much does a rifle like the one above weigh compared to a standard rifle it a 3-9 mounted (14 ounces or so for the scope)?

The barreled action, EBR chassis, pistol grip and receiver extension tube weigh about 9.5 lbs.

The attached picture includes an ACE folder that I have since removed.

Carried one in Navy boot camp 24/7...

And I thought if I never saw one again it would be to soon. Thinking back now, I learned to love that rifle-shot out rattle trap that it was. Got my Marksman Ribbon with it on the first try. It was cool leaving boot with a ribbon, now days they hand them out like candy on Halloween.
If I ever find one in extra fine condition I'll build a case for it and mount it on my mantle, and shoot it sparingly.

SR420 - Your M14 is badass!

Don't have one, never really even thought about having one. But this thread is making me think twice.

What would be a solid M14 that wont break the bank that will throw solid groups and is a good foundation for upgrades?! Springfield M1A too heavy and expensive.

SRE, it has been my experience that there is no better value in the M14 world than
pre-owned Norinco and Poly Tech M14s... anything under $800.00 is a great deal.
