I have a 9c. Typical 5 shot groups from 20 yards are 2" to 4" from a rest. The best load I've worked up for it averages 2.70" at 20 yards, rested. The 9 compact is not a tack driver by any means. But for a striker fired pistol, I think this accuracy is certainly acceptable. It will ring a 12" gong at 50 yards pretty well. My best is 9 out of 10 on the gong at 50 (freehand - not rested).
HOWEVER, the 9c is a lot more pistol to EDC than a J-frame sized revolver. I carry both. You'll need a good holster for the 9c. I use a Beltman belt with velcro and a hybid holster at about 4 o'clock. That works well for me; YMMV.
