Lever action VS bolt action

My $.02 (but no promises on it's actual worth..)

Accuracy is you and the rifle doing the *exact* same thing every time the trigger is pulled. All modern rifles are manufactured well enough that the slight variances are smaller than the eye can see.

But regardless, bolt rifles have less moving parts. This means less play (or room for variance). So, in theory, the bolt action is the more accurate design.

In the real world, you have factors like quality of the barrel, trigger, bedding, etc so you very well may find a lever out shooting a bolt.

All else being equal (and they almost never are) the bolt would win in accuracy.

I too would lean towards a bolt action for better out of the box accuracy. Not to say that a lever action can't be a tack driver. ;)
