+1 on the Kim Son Handicraft grips.

If you are looking for something natural to contrast with a dark frame, he makes tremendous bone and horn grips in Vietnam.

Here are Water Buffalo Bone grips (w/ Vein, for a more plain/clear white look, look at the without vein) on a black frame.

$40 for great craftsmanship, however - be aware that the wait was 2 months from order to door.

just checked the site. He has great 1911 grips in BLACK buffalo horn for $40!!
they look better than the laminate "silverwood" grips for $90!
just asked them to make grips for my XSE commander and 380 mustang.
pics in about 2 months!
