How to polish brass on firearms

Mother's Mag & Aluminum Polish turned the brass on my Buck 119 Cocobolo knife into a gleaming jewel.

Shinny gun! Good way to get scalped!

Sobered up a guy real fast when mine was pointed at his belly. He didn't move that shotgun he was carrying another millimeter.

So I didn't get scalped.

So I suppose if you have a sensitive stomach, you could use Ketchsup? I'm just wondering now how long you guys who do this have to cook your guns to make them chewable???

I have always used Brasso for no other reason than thats what i used i have Never Dull just never used it. After reading this thread i tried it Brasso works good Never Dull worked better.

I agree with hawg; I like it dull. The old henry 1860's look better with the brass reciever unpolished. I can't wait till my new henry lever action .357's brass dulls abit.
