My 642-1... converted to 9mm with a Pinnacle cylinder that I picked up off AR15.com.

I had a Ruger SP101 in 9mm that shot like a dream. I loved that gun, but a friend loved it more. So he ended up with it.

Had a Taurus 905 that had brutal recoil, I couldn't manage more than 2 cylinders without developing a flinch. The rear of the trigger guard just beat me silly. Wanted to find a way to make it work but traded it away.

I was trying to buy the 9mm SP101 back, when I got a chance to shoot/buy a Glock 43. He didn't want to sell the SP and I might be better off with the 43.

I'm a revolver guy. My EDC is a S&W 642. I shoot a Smith Model 64 in ICORE and other matches.

In my LE Career I carried a Model 28, my all time favorite. I shoot it (since my dept. gave it to me when I retired) and sometimes its brother, a 6.5 inch Model 27, in the revolver category in Bowling pin matches.

But it LE, cant beat the Model 28 in my opinion.

I would buy a reasonably priced 4" poly framed gun like an LCR in a second. It would go on fishing trips where Rattlesnakes are thick, and black bears, big cats and human D-bags are uncommon but not unheard of. A 4" Ruger "LR9" (the as yet uninvented LCR-inspired 6 shooter) would be even more appealing.

9mm CCI birdshot throws a much denser charge of shot than the .38 (due to #12 vs #9 shot), and the 9mm is wholly adequate and less abusive than the .357 in such light guns.

I still shoot a SO 101 3" using Federal 9mm rimmed brass or make my own out of 38 cases resized with 9mm dies. Also use the moon clips with regular 9mm rounds. Seldom carry it but, gets to the range a few times a year.

Been carrying/shooting my Pinnacle custom 9mm S&W 360J for 8+ years now. Had Mark fit a titanium .38spl cylinder to it a little over a year ago making it a 9mm/.38spl convertible, all I have to do is swap cyls.:D

Five S&W 547s, two Ruger Speed Sixes and one S&W 940.

You have FIVE 547's!

Are you also the kd who took his kickball home so we couldn't play?! That is a serious % of total commercial production, isn't it?

Thanks for sharing your photos.
I might be interested in a 9mm revolver IF the frame and cylinder were sized according to the size of the round. Oh, and a three inch barrel please.

Can anyone tell me where the 4 extra ounces on the 9mm LCR come from compared to the .38 special model? Would it be okay to buy one in .38 special, get the cylinder cut for moon clips/modified for 9mm to save on the weight? Not really looking to do this personally fyi, just curious.
