How Many Magazines Per Pistol Do You Keep?

I like to have between four and six per gun, mostly 'cuz they cost so much...for my S&W M&P45 they're like $30 each, for my Ruger SR9 they're around $40, but I'm still looking for deals. When I go to the range for an hour or so, I like to have as many loaded as I can so I don't waste time loading magazines when I could be shooting.

If a handgun is worth owning - have at least three magazines for it.

If it's a primary defensive handgun own at least five, with seven to ten being preferrable. Anything more than ten and you're doing very well!

I have 9 magazines for my XD-40, (2) factory 10 rd magazines, (4) hi-cap 12 round magazines, (1) 11 rd pro-mag, (2) 20 rd pro-mag magazines. The XD magazines are occasionally on sale at midway for around $18, so I tend to order a coupe when they go on sale.:D

I have 3 magazines for my Taurus Mil-Pro and I don't plan on buying anymore, because they are $40 a peice!:eek::mad:
