Hot? Fiocchi 115 gr 9mm ammo

Sometimes appearances can be deceiving. It would be interested to weigh the carton and plastic bullet rack of the Fiocchi against some other brands to see if the actual material usage is different and in which direction. Of course the size difference is real. There is no doubt about that. But weight due to the wall thickness of the cardboard and the plastic in the Fiocchi could conceivable be higher than in another brand that looks bigger. Not saying it is, just could be.

I’d be skeptical of that, but even if it were true my original comment was on the size of the packaging. It makes a big difference when storing in ammo boxes.

Their 115 grain ammo runs 1200 fps. Federal AE runs 1180 FPS. Winchester runs 1190 fps. ME is about the same too. Not enough difference to be noticeable.
Biggest difference it that the Fiocchi is loaded to CIP spec that's a bit higher velocity than SAAMI spec. I think NATO spec is CIP spec as well.

Fiocchi is a large well known and trusted maker of ammo. There stuff is quality. I've shot a lot of it.

This mirrors my experience. Fiocchi is quality ammo

Hot is one thing, but I found the muzzle flash from a 4.25” barrel very unappealing.
