Gun cleaning in the field?

The nice thing about Gun Scrubber is that it's unlikely to damage firearms with the possible exception of some wood finishes. I've had ether (starting fluid) do some nasty things to a polymer firearm frame.

If you want something to blast out the innards of a firearm, something like Hornady One Shot is a better choice than a pure cleaner. It does a good job blowing the crud out and then leaves a dry lube and corrosion protectant when the carrier/cleaner evaporates.

Hoppes Gun Medic is a similar product.
