Grains to grams

if I were to count those suckers one at a time I would probably lose count three times then lose interest and just order a new box

My postal scale weighs to 100 pounds and has about 5 different modes but grains is not one of them but it does do kilograms to 3 decimal places. Just weighed a partial box of 1000 69 gn Nosler .223 seconds. 2948 grams = 45,494 grains divided by 69 = 659 bullets or close enough

everything about reloading is nothing but numbers

Yeah, I weighed a new box of 500 115 grain bullets yesterday and it calculated out to 499.xx bullets. They were still in the original box and I used an old box to tare the scale, so I'm not surprised that it was off by a fraction of a bullet. ;)
