Glock 17 slide damage. It's beating itself to death.

I have decided
I'm going to stop worrying about it. I've taken a little file to the slide and cleaned up the area that was chipped. I'm gonna run it till it busts. Some one mentioned recoil spring, I've replaced it. The pictures on GT are definitely worse than mine. There have been no ill effects so far, but now it's not PERFEKT NO MORE!

If you have 15k rounds through it, you really should have changed recoil springs before now. That might have avoided the peening.
