Shooting with him certainly would be an experience. When you actually read his articles that go beyond one fragment I don’t think most would say they mean night sights are forbidden, that was my point. It’s more nuanced than that. For instance, at the end of this article he discusses using a Glock in which he has modified the trigger. I have shot in matches with Massad Ayoob TR. He is a good shot. And I think I have read that he espouses "No modifications" My G19 has an extended slide lock/release.

Funny I was just looking at some old magazines, "The Complete Book of Handguns" from 1993 and 2002 both by M. Ayoob in which he speaks of modifications for defensive handguns and shows us a number of those. He has done so in other publications as well. So if he did say "No modifications" it was likely in a very particular situation speaking in a limited sense.
